Practice of being with whatever arises moment to moment, coordinating breath, movement, and concentration. A multilevel yoga practice that incorporates flow sequence, focusing on alignment, balance, flexibility, and breathing. This class is suitable for everyone as many variations are modifications are provided.

PAR-Q & You

Regular physical activity is fun and healthy, and increasingly more people are starting to become more active every day. Being more active is very safe for most people. However, some people should check with their doctor before they start becoming much more physically active.

If you are planning to become much more physically active than you are now, start by answering the seven questions in the box below. The PAR-Q will tell you if you should check with your doctor before you start. If you are not used to being very active, check with your doctor.

Common sense is your best guide when you answer these questions. Please read the questions carefully and answer each one honestly: check YES or NO.

If you answered YES to one or more questions

Talk with your doctor by phone or in person BEFORE you start becoming much more physically active or BEFORE you have a fitness appraisal. Tell your doctor about the PAR-Q and which questions you answered YES.

Online Fitness Waiver

I understand that there may be health risks associated with physical exercise. The health risks include, but are not limited to, transient dizziness, fainting, nausea, muscle cramping, musculoskeletal injury, sprains and strains, heart attack, stroke or sudden death. If I experience any of these or any other symptoms while exercising, I will discontinue the activity, notify the fitness instructor, and consult my health care provider.

I certify that I am capable of performing physical exercise and acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in this Woolwich Community Health Centre online fitness class. I am participating in the fitness class with knowledge of the dangers involved. I understand that I will be fully responsible for complying with any restrictions prescribed for me by my primary healthcare provider and that I agree to consult my personal primary healthcare provider for further evaluation and such clinical care as I require.

I understand that Woolwich Community Health Centre recommends that I have someone available to help me in case of an emergency. I acknowledge that my participation in the Woolwich Community Health Centre online fitness class is at my own risk and that the burden of responsibility is on me, the participant.

I acknowledge that Woolwich Community Health Centre will try, but cannot guarantee complete privacy and anonymity while participating in our online fitness classes. I understand that Woolwich Community Health Centre is not responsible for the unintentional sharing or distribution of any personal health information that may be expressed or communicated while using public communication platforms.

I acknowledge that I have carefully read this waiver and fully understand that it is a release of liability and agree to waive any right to bring legal action against Woolwich Community Health Centre or the fitness instructor.
